232 degrees, medals distributed in PU HCBF convocation


LAHORE: (Friday, March 15, 2024): Punjab University Hailey College of Banking & Finance (HCBF) organized 12th degree awarding ceremony in which degrees were distributed among 232 students. On this occasion, former Advisor to chief minister Khawaja Ahmed Hassaan, Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission Dr Shahid Munir, PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Faculty of Commerce Dean Prof Dr Mubbasher Munawar Khan, HCBF Principal Dr Ahmed Muneeb Mehta, Registrar Dr Ahmed Islam, faculty members and a large number of students were present. In his address, Khawaja Ahmad Hassaan said that the important responsibility has fallen on the shoulders of the students and they have to play their role in the development of the country. He said that smartphones have taken family relationships away from each other. He said that there is no shortcut to experience and we need to get on the track of learning from our elders. He said that students should also play a role in the success of those coming in their field. Dr Shahid Munir said that the parents of the students have made a lot of sacrifices for their education. He said that women should enter the practical fields and contribute to the national and domestic economy. He said that students should play a role in strengthening Islamic banking. He said that no nation in the world has developed without women. He said that PU has inculcated knowledge and character qualities in you. Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood said that Punjab University has produced the best graduates in every field. He said that PU’s world ranking is improving every year. He said that the students should play their role in the betterment of the country and the nation. He said that as alumni; always keep in touch with the university. He congratulated the students, their parents and teachers on their success. Dr Ahmed Muneeb Mehta said that students are given education in the college according to modern requirements. He said that steps have been taken to develop marketable skills among the students. He said that medals and degrees are being distributed to 232 graduates of 2-year and 3.5-year MBA in the convocation.
