LAHORE: (Monday, January 18, 2016): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has inaugurated the Zoological Museum opposite to Institute of Agricultural Sciences. On this occasion, Chairman Department of Zoology Prof Javed Iqbal Qazi, Associate Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali, faculty members and students were present.

The Museum has been constructed before the given time of completion. The museum will provide excellent research facilities to students of paleontology, animal diversity, wildlife, taxonomy, systematics, ecology etc. The Zoological Museum will also help in providing general education and recreation facilities to students and visitors having their educational background in the disciplines of Zoology in particular and Biology overall. The display areas in the museum will cover various topics such as Paleontology, exotic mammals, marine fauna, insects, shells and birds and other topics like human, horse, elephant and camel evolution. The displays will also highlight the ecological importance of the wildlife.
