LAHORE: (Monday, March 9, 2015): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran on Monday laid foundation stone of three-storey Zoological Museum opposite to Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Prof Dr Muhammad Akhter, Prof Dr Naeem Khan, Acting Treasurer Rao Muhammad Sharif and a large number of faculty members were present on the occasion.

Three spacious and wide exhibition halls would be constructed in which rare remnants of ancient animals discovered by PU scientists would be displayed. A state-of-the-art post graduate research laboratory would also be established to provide research facilities to the students. On this occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Akhter thanked PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran for his support and providing funds for the project. Earlier, PU VC inaugurated 5-day training workshop on honeybee at Zoology Department. Participants from various universities and departments from the country are participating in the event.
